Best privately own business in Monterey. I have been on dozens of trips with them throughout the years. Hands down the best. Every time, we have seen whales, enjoyed Risso dolphins, and had our questions aanswered. I'm an old lady now, I went Monday. They helped me onto the boat. It was the #1 experience. I say that after being on dozens of times. with them and other companies. I highly recommend going. Oh and you get to be on the boat with people ALL over the world. The look on their faces, first time seeing a whale, priceless. 3 hour trip. WORTH every dollar.

These guys are awesome. They took initiative on finding the best spots for viewing and were staying in conversation with other boats to know where the best place to go was. We were lucky enough to hang out next to Captain Matt on the way to the orcas, and he was super friendly and welcoming. It definitely felt like we got insider knowledge! He asked us what were hoping to see and made sure we got to see it. I would highly recommend these guys, the trip was a highlight of our vacation.

Haven't been fishing up there in about 25 years, but soon discovered I have not lost my touch. Limited out on rockfish with enough left over to make my brother's limit as well. Dave was very friendly and helpful and John got us on the fish. I may have been the only one who didn't get a lingcod, but a great day fishing .

This is my third time fishing with Chris’ .They are doing a wonderful Job especially Deckhand David and Troy and the captain . This is the best chartered boat I ever had since I started sports fishing and even the people you fish with were all nice and helpful and courteous and also I always get my limit with them .

We had an amazing experience even though I think at least 2/3 of the passengers were throwing up lol. We even got to see some whales mating!! Such a great trip!

Chris's has been a Monterey legend for generations..always enjoyed fishing there for salmon, lings, rockfish, albacore , and white sea bass...service and knowledge of owners and captains has created many years of happy memories

We had a good trip. Was not able to get very close to any whales but saw about 15. Also many sea lions and birds.

Best charter and deck crew in Monterey hands down! You get on one of their boats and you catch fish just about every time out. Book and you will be glad you did!

I go at least once a month. Captains take you where the fish are and the crew is excellent-hard-working, helpful and amiable. What's not to like?

I really enjoyed my trip out on the waters in search of the whales. We had many sightings a couple of whales breached the water, in the morning hours we saw a pool of dolphins and we saw sea otters resting in kelp beds. It was really an amazing trip

Its was my wife and my 4th anniversary, we booked in advance! Fishing sucked at first, but after 10am I had caught my limit buy noon!!! Even if I didn't catch anything, we had a blast!!! The that fact of spending time with my wife on the boat for our anniversary was worth it Roy was one of the most genuine men I've meet in along time!!!! We'll be back in April when the season starts!!!!

We went out twice on The Star of Monterey X Both times were amazing X Caught s glimpse of the black footed albatross plus all dolphins and whales listed on the 28 th and 30 th of Aug 2016 X amazing sightings, crew who totally looked after us. Bonus we saw so many Blues X the reason we came X been a dream for 20 years to see one in natural habitat xx we saw multiple xxx AWESOME X can't recommend highly enough X Thankyou sooo much x

We unfortunately didn't see any whales, but the boat ride was nice. since they don't usually come back without seeing whales, they gave us a rain check to come back anytime and try again. Great customer service!

Went whale watching with them... Great day out with plenty of whales seen... If it had been a new shiny boat it would have been and easy 5 star.
